Air cooling is a kind of air cooling. The so-called air cooling refers to taking air as the cooling medium, mainly relying on convection heat transfer to take away the heat of the target system. In addition to air cooling, air cooling also includes natural cooling. The difference between air cooling and natural cooling only lies in the power source of airflow. Some power belongs to air cooling, while no power belongs to natural cooling.

The air cooling system is a device that uses the forced flow of air to cool the target system. The main components include fans, flow channels, and radiators. It can also include heat collectors, heat pipes, and other devices that work together with air cooling equipment.
The General air cooling system is provided with an air inlet and air outlet in an enclosed space. The structural arrangement of the cooling objects in the space shall be combined into an ideal airflow channel as far as possible to make the heat dissipation effect uniform. If the cooling object has parts where the flowing air is difficult to reach directly, the air-cooled radiator shall be designed to conduct heat from the inside of the cooling object to the outside, and full contact with the flowing air to ensure the heat dissipation efficiency and uniformity.
Based on the understanding of the factors affecting convection heat dissipation, the radiator often has a large air contact area. For example, fins are the common form of air-cooled radiators.
