China's power market has been reformed and developed since 2015, and a strong energy system support system has been built. At present, the installed power generation capacity, power generation capacity and power grid planning rank first in the world. In 2021, China deployed the basic ideas and main measures to achieve the goal of "double carbon", and proposed that the "14th five year plan" is the key period and window period for reaching the peak of carbon. Energy storage technology can be divided into physical energy storage, chemical energy storage and thermal energy storage according to different energy conversion mechanisms. Among various energy storage technologies, pumped energy storage technology is the most mature, accounting for the largest proportion of energy storage projects in China, followed by electrochemical energy storage.
