Component Supply Chains Remain Uneven for PCBA in Late 2025
The latest industry update shows that while the worst shortages of 2021-2023 have eased, many component categories remain under pressure. Lead times for MLCCs (16-22 weeks), automotive MCUs (20-30 weeks) and FPGAs (30-40+ weeks) continue to restrict production planning.
Geopolitical factors and tariff regimes are adding cost and complexity. For example, 25 % tariffs remain on many PCBs and assemblies imported from China, influencing OEM sourcing decisions.
For a PCBA manufacturing/exporting factory, this means it's prudent to lock in long-lead components now, build buffer inventory where feasible, and refresh your supply-chain mapping to account for regional risks and tariffs.
