Recently, the largest new type of energy storage power station in South China - Zhanjiang Leizhou Centralized Shared Energy Storage Power Station Phase I Project was put into operation and delivered electricity, laying a solid foundation for the next step of formal grid-connected commercial operation.
Leizhou centralized shared energy storage power station makes full use of the abundant local solar energy, wind energy and other green power resources, converts them into electricity and stores them in the battery compartment during the low point of electricity consumption, and releases the electricity during the peak point of electricity consumption, which becomes the "energy regulator" for cutting peaks and filling in valleys, and effectively enhances the new energy consumption capacity of the southern part of Zhanjiang, and alleviates the pressure of peak-frequency regulation on the power grid of the western part of Guangdong, and guarantees the power grid's reliability. It can alleviate the pressure of peak and frequency adjustment of the power grid in western Guangdong and ensure the stability of power grid operation.
The project is constructed by Southern Investment Group, a subsidiary of Guangzhou Urban Investment Group. The planned capacity of the energy storage power station is 600 MW/1200 MWh, constructed in two phases, of which the capacity of the first phase is 200 MW/400 MWh. It is the first time for Southern Investment Group Electricity Construction Company to act as a new type of energy EPC general contracting unit for the construction of the project, and it has gone through more than one year's hard work to complete the commissioning of the transmission of electricity as scheduled.
In addition to the Leizhou power storage project, Southern Investment Group has also steadily pushed forward the construction of Huangpu Power Plant Gas-to-Coal Power Generation Ancillary Line Project, Pannan Electric Power Science and Technology and New Energy Industrial Park, and the power supply project of Guangdong Luhe Pumped Storage Power Station, etc. It has also opened up a new track of low-carbon business and vigorously explored the "Electricity Construction + Low-Carbon" and "Investment, Construction, Operation and Integration" programs. It also vigorously explores new business models such as "electricity construction + low-carbon", "investment, construction and operation", "electricity + urban construction" comprehensive development, and endeavors to build a "double-wheel-drive" industrial layout with traditional electricity construction business and emerging business, so as to continue to inject new kinetic energy into the development of urban electric power.
