Conformal Coating, also known as PCB electronic circuit board protective oil, covering oil, moisture-proof paint, three proofing paint, waterproof adhesive, insulation paint, anti-corrosion paint, salt spray paint, dustproof paint, protective paint, covering paint, three proofing adhesive, etc., are classified as follows:
Conformal Coating can be divided into acrylic ester, silicone, and polyurethane based on their chemical composition; In terms of curing methods, there are solvent based curing, room temperature curing, thermal curing, and UV curing.
1. Solvent containing acrylic resin conformal coating (currently the most widely used and popular product in the market)
Features: It has dry surface, fast curing time, good three proofing properties, low price, transparent color, flexible texture, and is easy to repair.
2. Solvent free acrylic resin conformal coating
Features: UV curing, can dry the watch in a few seconds to over ten seconds, has a transparent color, a hard texture, and excellent resistance to chemical corrosion and wear.
3. Polyurethane conformal coating
Characteristics: The texture is brittle and has excellent solvent resistance. In addition to superior moisture resistance, it also has stable performance in low temperature environments.
4. Organic silicon conformal coating
The soft elastic coating material can effectively release pressure, withstand high temperatures of 200 degrees, and is easy to repair.
In addition, considering both price and performance, there are also cross phenomena that may occur with the above-mentioned types of conformal coating, such as organosilicon modified conformal coating.
5. Fluorescent conformal coating
Features: After applying fluorescent conformal coating, the purple light illuminates the coating surface and displays blue, which is clear and easy to detect whether the conformal coating is properly applied.
