The role of AOI in PCBA testing
PCBA is a substrate for assembling electronic parts, and the manufacturing quality of PCBA directly affects the reliability of electronic products. With the in-depth development of electronic assembly to higher density, smaller size PCBA hybrid technology, in order to reduce the number of defective circuit boards entering the next process, the demand for automatic optical inspection (AOI) systems for PCBA testing is also increasing. The AOI system is an automatic inspection system based on the application of machine vision technology. It extracts PCB surface graphics through high-definition line scan cameras, digitally converts graphics, features logic judgment and graphics matching, line shape and outline logic comparison, and defect point judgment and extraction. This technical process is used to realize defect detection of PCB surface patterns. AOI system has incomparable technical advantages of other inspection schemes and traditional inspection methods, and has been widely used in PCBA testing.
