The solder paste and flux used in the "lead-free process" are all lead-free (note: lead-free is not a lead-free component, so long as the lead content is less than 1%, it can be classified as lead-free). The lead-free solder paste is mainly composed of tin and metal alloys such as silver and copper, of which the tin content can reach more than 95%.
Because the lead content of lead-free solder paste is very low, its melting point is relatively high, the possibility of thermal damage to components is greater, and the solderability is slightly weaker than that of lead-containing solder paste.
The biggest advantage of lead-free technology lies in its environmental protection and safety. Lead-free technology meets the requirements of environmental protection, and its harm to human health is also very small.
