The flying probe test is the latest solution to some of the major problems with electrical testing. It replaces the needle bed with a probe, and uses multiple motor-driven, fast-moving electrical probes to contact the pins of the device and make electrical measurements. The advent of flying probe testing has changed the testing methods for low-volume and quick-turn assembly products, greatly reducing product design cycles and time to market.
